(Just some of the) placements we’ve recently secured:
If you’re making a great product – whether it’s apparel, CPG, home goods, or just about anything else – we can help you get the best publications to write about it.
Our approach is a bit different from other PR firms; we don’t just understand the current publishing landscape, we lean into it. Yes, editor relationships are (still) important, but equally so are your affiliate program’s commission rates. We’ll manage – and leverage – both to secure you revenue generating placements in household name media outlets.
Let’s get startedWe love (working with) great brands.
Anyone can make a t-shirt, but not everyone can make a t-shirt people want to wear.
The best brands, in our eyes, are world-builders. Their products, in addition to offering a unique mix of form, function, and whimsy, are also a means of entry; they’re the customer’s way into the world of the brand. And the more detailed, defined, and desirable that world is, the more desirable the product becomes.
Our clients are some of the best world-builders out there.
Are you building something great? Let’s talk about it.
It all started with a blog…
Over a decade ago, before the advent of Instagram (or coining of the term “influencer”), unabashed menswear nerd, Brad Bennett, was able to monetize his unabashedly nerdy menswear blog and quit his crummy day job. Through the blog, Brad became friendly with a number of the brands that he fanboyed over wrote about, and several of them started paying him to get other bloggers to write about them, too. With that, BDBC was born.
Having been on the receiving end of pitches both good and bad (mostly bad) for over ten years, and also having an in-depth (and very personal) understanding of the myriad ways content sites generate revenue, Brad helps brands create purpose-built comms strategies that are specifically catered to today’s media gatekeepers. In other words: he knows how to craft pitches that editors actually want to read.
